Institutional status
What kind of institution PMU is.
PMU is a French private higher-education institution constituted as a Société par Actions Simplifiée and operating under the relevant articles of the Code de l'Éducation. The institution operates “hors contrat” — privately, without state funding — which is the standard legal status for serious private universities in France.
PMU is authorised under the administrative authority of the Académie de Paris, France's regional academic oversight body. The institutional seat is at 250 bis Boulevard Saint-Germain, 75007 Paris.

How study works
Fully online. Open admission.
Every programme is delivered fully online — there is no requirement to attend in person and no in-person component to plan around. Live cohort seminars punctuate every term; the bulk of the work is asynchronous.
Admission is open: candidates choose a programme, enrol on the learning platform, and begin at the next intake. The registrar reviews enrolment records, issues credentials under the institutional seal at completion, and maintains the diploma register that supports the online verification service.
PMU does not issue student visas, since our programmes are remote. Candidates relocating to France for unrelated reasons should consult French immigration directly.
What your degree carries
Recognition you can use.
Every PMU credential is apostille-eligible under the Hague Convention, issued under the institutional seal with the registrar's countersignature, and verifiable online from a unique credential ID. Full details on the Accreditation page.
